SVEN YRVIND has built small ocean-going yachts for over 50 years. Except from an internationally known boat-builder he is also a marine inventor, awarded ocean-sailor and author of several acclaimed books about his adventures sailing small boats on big oceans. His words are both controversal and highly respected among ocean sailors.

Being my mentor, Yrvind has been the source of knowledge and inspiration since the beginning of the project. I can say for certain that without Yrvinds mentorship this project would not be a reality. It was Yrvinds book: Den Unge, Den Gamle och Havet that inspired me to initiate Southbound & Solo and invest all my time in this project. I realized reading his book that the best thing to do when you are young and unbound is to buy a cheap sailboat and go see the world. Thank you Yrvind!
