Today, sailboats does not prioritize freedom in their design.
They prioritize expensive luxury and comfort features, that makes their captains lazy and unwilling to explore by the sea, blind to the potential a sailboat really has.

Let's consider the sailboat to be a tool, and the sailor be its user. Now the sailor must use this sailboat for a particular reason or purpose. What is this purpose?

I personally believe sailing is very high up on the freedom output chart list. This is why the art of sailing is so intriging to me, that you need so little to do so much.
A tool always have one demand to function and give back to the user its full potential freedom output. It has to be maintained and in good order. This order is
The more freedom a tool gives to the user, the more it naturally wants back in maintenance. This maintenance is not about freedom at all, but the complete opposite. This maintenance is nature challenging humans saying: If you want this much power, this is what it costs.
So how are today's sailboat cruisers keeping up to this law of nature? Not so well, not so well at all it seems. It seems we live in a conspiracy that the yacht broker have set up. A mirage that sailing should always be luxurious and cost crazy amounts of money. But the dream is still simple for the human, we plainly just want to sail.
The solution is obvious, lets forget everything we have been taught from the yacht brokers so far. Lets redesign sailing from bottom up, only reflecting on how FREE we are when we sail, the fundamental truth about sailing. This principle will lead to a unique sailboat design that outruns every other sailboat on the market today regarding freedom performance. With a minimalistic approach on design, its freedom output will effectivily be maximized.
This is a blog dedicated to that pursuit, to free sailing with a new concept: Freesailing. Freesailing is a new kind of cruising, a new kind of sailing, all dedicated to the pursuit of creating the ultimate tool for adventure on the seas, that requires no time and money on maintenance, just sheer will to explore and experience on the seas.
